I don’t know about you but in the mornings I am always rushing. I have three alarm times and I still struggle to wake up. Some things do not change because when I was younger my abuela always had to wake me up multiple times. My abuelita was always up early, preparing our breakfast, and getting our lunches ready for school. Now that I have children of my own, I look for quick, easy breakfast meals that can be taken “on-the-go”. My kids love Kellogg’s cereal but sometimes we just don’t have the time to sit and eat a bowl with milk. I started making parfaits with cereal and fruits for my family.

Making the parfaits are easy! I use glass jars with lids because they can be easily transported to/from home. My kids can eat their parfait mix in the car on their way to school. My husband and I can also take it with us to work. I’m always looking for shortcuts, many times I will prepare the parfaits the night before which saves me time in the morning. Grab and go!

The combinations are endless when it comes to parfaits. Kellogg’s has so many delicious cereals and bars, coming up with a new parfait recipe is easy, peasy! One day you might want Apple Jacks, the next day Froot Loops, etc. My family loves Apple Jacks and the Apple Cinnamon Nutri-Grain bars which is usually the combination I do often. The recipe is easy, I promise!
