Easy Buffalo Chicken Savory Squares Recipe

Easy recipes are my thing. The fewer ingredients the better, who’s with me? My go-to recipe is Buffalo Chicken Dip. If I’m heading to any family or friend get-together, I’m bringing Buffalo Chicken Dip – so be warned! I wanted to switch things up a bit today – I was feeling rebellious. I had these Crescent roll dough sheets in my fridge for a few weeks so I had an idea to make some delicious Buffalo Chicken Savory Squares – because buffalo anything is a winner in my book. Post contains affiliate links. It just means I make a small commission if you make a purchase through any of my links. There is no additional cost for you.

I always worry when I try new things – is it going to be good? Will my husband approve? Will the kids? I waited patiently for my husband to take a bite – closed my eyes for a minute then asked, “how do they taste?” He reassures me that they are delicious. #Winning

  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce
  • Refrigerated Crescent Dough Sheets

Directions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2: Add cooked chicken breast, cream cheese, sour cream, and Red’s Buffalo Sauce into a mixing bowl. (Optional – Add a dash of pepper and salt) Mix everything well. Be sure the cream cheese is well blended.

Step 3: Add the shredded cheese and mix well.

Step 4: Open the crescent roll and place on a non-stick baking sheet. (Note my crescent roll sheet was not perfect but I made it work). Cut into equal parts if you can. You can make them as big or small as you want!

Step 5: Add a scoop of the buffalo chicken dip into each square. You want to place it near the edge so you can fold the crescent over and seal it. You can use a fork to seal around the square or just press the dough edges together. Totally up to you!

Step 6: Place the tray in the oven for about 12-15 mins. Just watch it. Once it gets a golden color it is ready to be taken out.

Step 7: Allow to cool a bit and enjoy!

Simple, right? I want you to make this recipe the way it works best for you. If you are hosting a lot of people, miniature size Buffalo bites work best. If you are making for your family, make them bigger! There is plenty of Buffalo chicken dip to make quite a few of these. I think 3 Crescent roll dough can yield enough to finish all the Buffalo Chicken. If not just make a dip!

I love the soft and savory texture of the crescent dough. The filling gives you just the right amount of heat thanks to the generous amount of Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce.
