DIY Wood Laundry Sign - Easy DIY Wooden Laundry Sign by Florida lifestyle blogger Casa Moncada

The laundry area in my garage is a work in progress. We moved into our house about a year ago and only managed to get a wall up. We still need to paint, put in some flooring, and get bigger cabinets. I was tired of looking at the bare walls so I made a cute little DIY wooden laundry sign for all those “missing” socks that the dryer seems to swallow. The wooden laundry sign makes such a big difference in that little space! This is such a great easy project that you can adapt to any area of your home.

When I lived in New York we didn’t have a washer and dryer in the apartment, we had to go downstairs to the laundry room in the building or go to the corner laundromat. My grandmother loved doing the laundry. She always made sure our clothes were washed. She would hang the clothes on the clothes line always saying it was how she did it in Puerto Rico. Our clothes always came out smelling so fresh and clean. She really had the magic touch. Every time I do laundry for my family I remember all the times I would go downstairs to do laundry with my grandma. She would take her little carrito with the clothes down the elevator with her bible. Now here I am doing it for my own family.

These are the supplies you’ll need to make your DIY wooden laundry sign:

I like to keep my laundry area stocked with a detergent that makes my families clothes smell fresh and clean. Member’s Mark® Ultimate Clean Laundry Detergent in Paradise Splash has become my favorite detergent scent because of the fruity notes of berry and nectarine with hints of fresh flowers. Just a wonderful smelling scent. It works so well at getting stains out all without breaking the bank. Love that! Leaves my whites bright all while keeping colors intact. The easy no-mess dispenser makes it easy to measure exactly what you need. Member’s Mark detergent is HE compatible and safe for all washing machine styles.

  1. My dog runs off with socks whenever she finds them on the floor. It’s darn near impossible for me to keep track of them at all. I need to make your laundry sign to save the socks.

  2. What a FUN idea to jazz up the dreary laundry room. With something like that to cheer me up, I might actually do laundry more often.

  3. This is such a great idea. I need to make one of these too. My kids are always losing their socks. Maybe if I made one of these for them to hang up their socks then they wouldn’t always lose them.

  4. That’s a super cute laundry sign! I have nothing hanging in my little room. I like how easy it is to make. I need to get a vinyl machine! #client

  5. This is a fantastic sign for the laundry room. I will have to get the supplies so i can make one for my house. I love how easy it is to make.

  6. Love your sign!! It’s now on my “to do” list. I could of used it this winter with all the kids missing gloves. I also love the stain you used too 8))

  7. Cute sign. I will try something like this, but think I will use vinyl and then stain so lettering will be in the natural wood tone.
