I’ve been on a Pumpkin Spice kick lately and actually baked! My KitchenAid mixer makes it easy to whip up a delicious cake. I love Fall because of all the Pumpkin deliciousness that is available. The drinks, cakes, donuts, etc. Everything is sooo good. I like looking for shortcuts when I make desserts so this recipe uses a boxed butter pound cake. I added the additional ingredients to make it a Pumpkin Spice Pound Cake! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did!
Easy Pumpkin Spice Pound Cake
Ingredients:
- Pound cake box mix (plus ingredients listed on box – butter, milk)
- 4 Tablespoons of Pure canned Pumpkin
- 1 Tablespoon condensed milk
- 1/4 Teaspoon Pumpkin Spice
- 1/8 Teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
1. Follow the directions on the Pound Cake box.
2. Add the pumpkin, condensed milk, pumpkin spice, and nutmeg. Mix everything well. The mix will be a little thick.
3. Pour it into your desired baking dish. I filled halfway.
4. Bake for about 35-40 mins. Be sure to check with a toothpick in the center.
5. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!
You can definitely customize the pound cake to your liking. For example, using Pumpkin Spice creamer instead of condensed milk. Adding a dash of cinnamon!
Aren’t my little loaf pans cute? I got them at Michael’s! They have the cutest little ceramic loaf pans. They are oven safe. They have cute little sayings. They are perfect for Fall and dinner parties. They also have cute mini pie dishes!
I love how easy this recipe was to make. Trust me, I love anything that saves me time! Using a box mix as a base makes it easy to customize a cake how you want. I am definitely going to be trying different ingredients to create other pound cakes. I also saw they have a cinnamon strudel pound cake mix which would be awesome with the pumpkin. I may try that next. I would love to hear your combinations. By the way, this goes great with my Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate.
Do you use box cakes/mixes to create different recipes?
I love pound cake and this recipe is perfect for Fall! I really like the flavor mixture you used. Thank-you for the easy & tasty recipe. 🙂
