Disclosure: I received the below item to facilitate my review. All opinions stated here are my own.
knex3Does your little boy or girl love to build? I love toys that will inspire and encourage my son to create anything he wants. K’Nex provides my son with endless fun, a creative outlet, encourage problem solving,  and critical thinking. It allows him to build self confidence in not only bulding but in anything else he applies himself to.

About K’NEX

While sitting at a crowded, noisy wedding in 1990, Joel Glickman started tinkering with some straws and began thinking about the possibilities. By 1992 this dabbling, followed by some innovative product engineering, led to the very popular rod & connector building system now known as K’NEX. As K’NEX grew, wheels, pulleys and gears were added so that kids could build vehicles, roller coasters and other innovative creations. The easy-to-follow, color-coded instructions included in every set made it easy for builders to bring their models to life. Today, K’NEX continues to introduce exciting new building with its high standards for quality and innovation. The K’NEX family of brands has expanded to include K’NEX Building Sets, K’NEX Thrill Rides, K’NEX Education: America’s STEM building solution, Lincoln Logs®, Tinkertoy®, NASCAR®, Angry Birds™, Mario Kart Wii™, Mario Kart 7™, Super Mario™, PacMan™ and more.

knex4K’NEX carries buildings sets that comprise of rods, connectors, and bricks. Kids are able to follow along with the included guide or let their imaginations run wild and create something of their own. My son decided to build the Rover from the K’Nex Cosmic Quest building set. He likes to first separate the pieces that he needs based on the color coded guide. He did such a great job putting the rover together! I did assist him with a few steps that were confusing to him but overall he was able to identify the pieces needed and how they are to be connected. knex5My husband and I are huge zombies fans, when my son received Plants vs Zombies K’Nex set we were so excited! We all helped our son in building the Wild West Skirmish scene with him. We loved the three little zombies that come with the set. The set comes with the 3 zombies, a Peashooter (that really shoots peas!), and all the needed pieces to build the Wild West scene (total of 219 pieces). The toy is interactive with the Peashooter moving side to side and the zombies spinning around. It was fun to try to knock down the zombies with the Peashooter. If you child is a fan of Plants vs Zombies, they will enjoy the K’NEX building set.

knex7My family really enjoyed building the K’NEX sets. My son has been tinkering with all the rods, bricks, and connectors making forts and a “park”. K’NEX provides hours of fun for the whole family!
