Still trying to figure out if you want to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? Head to the blog for 10 Reason Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is Worth a Visit!

The last time we attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party my son was 3 years old. He is now 10 years old! It was my daughter’s first time attending the special event. Magic Kingdom is transformed into an amazing Halloween spectacular with awesome Halloween decorations, delicious treats, and amazing family fun! It definitely is a “Must attend” event.

Mickey's not so scary halloween party

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event which begins at 7pm on select night through October 31st. An awesome perk is that you can actually enter the park as early as 4pm! Be sure to get your tickets in advance to save $10 off admission. Visit the Walt Disney World website for more details. I was provided with complimentary media tickets to experience the event. All opinions stated here are my own.

10 Reason Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Worth a Visit

1.Treats, no tricks

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party has an abundance of candy! Trick or treat stations are setup all over the park. The best part? Even adults can participate in the fun! We were trick or treating along with the kiddos! It really made me feel like a kid again. We got so much candy! I would definitely recommend bringing a backpack to hold some of the candy as it does get heavy for little hands. We were able to dump some of the candy into our backpack to make it easier for the kids to carry their treat bags.

2. Ghoulishly Good Food

The food is always a favorite! The unique twist on some of our favorite desserts makes the visit worthwhile. Decadent brownies in Casey’s Corner or maybe Zero Waffle Sundaes at Sleepy Hollow. It is hard to pick a favorite but we did enjoy Hades Nachos at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café. Be sure to visit all the food places along the way to enjoy the various treats!

3. Hallo-Wish Fireworks

The themed Halloween fireworks show only happened during Mickey’s Not So Scary event. The fireworks show is filled with pyrotechnic effects and haunting melodies. The castle is transformed into creepy colors with a fireworks display that lights up the night. The “scare-abration” gets into full swing when some of the Disney Villains we most love to hate—including Maleficent, Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Jafar, and Oogie Boogie—croon their scary tunes and do their best to steal the show.

4. Disney Characters in their best Costumes

Catch some of your favorite characters in their Halloween costumes! Disney characters are scattered all over Magic Kingdom so be sure to explore the park. But you and your kids can come dressed up as your favorite Disney character as well! There are some guidelines so be sure to read up on them before you head to the park.

5.Boo-to-You Halloween Parade

The parade is definitely a family favorite! The parade is amazing so I would definitely plan to get there early to find a good spot. There are two times for the parade so plan accordingly. It is definitely something you do not want to miss! Watch your favorite Disney characters in their costume parading down Main street. The Headless Horseman makes the first appearance, setting the stage for a ghoulishly good time!  Disney characters follow along on their floats wearing their costumes. You’ll catch some of your favorite character from the Haunted Mansion.

6. Magic Kingdom is transformed

Magic Kingdom looks scare-tastically awesome with an eerie glow. The castle is mesmerizing with purple and orange lights. I could not stop looking at the different color lights, especially during Hallo-Wishes.

7. Exciting Spooky Surprises on some of your favorite rides

Some of your favorite rides get a little spooky twist.  Discover a fresh spin on the Mad Tea Party, featuring new lighting and effects. On Pirates of the Caribbean, join some rookie pirates in their search for “Gunpowder Pete.” And on Space Mountain, hurtle through deep space with a new soundtrack. The best part? The wait times were significantly reduced!

8. Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Get a spelltacular show from the Sanderson Sisters at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! The show is filled with shrills and thrills as they throw the ultimate Halloween party! You’ll see appearances from Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent. Combine them and other great Disney villains with amazing dancers, wild visual projections and otherworldly special effects to make Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular a not-to-be-missed Halloween treat!

9. Shorter lines, more time for rides

The wait times are shorter at this special ticketed event. We were able to go on all of our favorite rides. My kids don’t like waiting on long lines so this event was perfect for us. They even were able to ride multiple times on some of their favorite Disney attractions.

10. Aweomse Halloween Merchandise

The Disney shops had amazing and adorable Halloween merchandise. The kids picked up some treats to give to their cousins. I wanted all the Mickey and Minnie Halloween decor! The shirts were so cute and perfect for Halloween. The kids got to pick up some lighted lanyards to enjoy during the night time festivities.

The event is quite popular so I would definitely plan on attending early! Earlier can typically mean less crowds which equals less wait times and more fun! Both of my kids had an amazing time and still talk about it. Buy your tickets now!
