When was the last time you had a date night with your significant other? Date nights are few and far between for us parents, it seems. The problem is that dates are important for a relationship so we need to make date nights an important part of the schedule. Pencil it in like its a doctor’s appointment. But I get it sometimes we don’t have it in the budget to have a full date night with dinner and a movie – there are many no cost date night ideas you can do! Just be sure to bring along some essentials like ChapStick Total Hydration, Nexium 24HR, Emergen-C, and Advil Tablet Vials. You’ll be prepared for anything!
- Head to the bookstore – I know it doesn’t sound “fun” but my husband and I love going to the bookstore for relaxing one-on-one time. We get to catch up on our favorite magazines and talk about what was interesting for us.
- Go on a walk/hike at a nature park – enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings together. Not only are you spending time together but you are getting in some healthy exercise. Win-win! Might also be a good idea to bring a blanket and some snacks from home.
- Head to the beach – take a walk by the shore, walk the pier, or watch the sunset. There are so many no-cost things that can be done at the beach. Bring a blanket to take in the view while you lay on the sand. Bringing snacks from home is a great idea too!
- Have a date night at home – have a movie night or a game night just you and your significant other. Cook a nice meal then settle in for a movie you’ve been waiting to see or a little friendly board game competition!
- Go on a city bike ride – take a bike ride around an area you love. Head to the park or ride along the beach. There are so many places you can go depending on where you live.
