Nutrisystem Fast 5 – Week 1 Completed!

I survived week 1 of the Nutrisystem Fast Five program. It actually wasn’t bad at all. I felt energized every single day. I work in Miami where someone is always making Cuban coffee and even with that I was yawning by 10 am. I did not feel tired once while on the program. I was pretty amazed. The Energi-Zing shake was perfect for the morning and really feel that is what helped me stay energized all day long.

Starting with the Fast Five program really set the momentum for losing weight. I lost a total of 6 lbs during the 1 week program! The program provided breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 shakes. I supplemented with 4 servings of vegetables. There definitely were moments I felt hungry but I stuck through it. The food was pretty good. My least favorite meal was the chicken and beans. I don’t like beans at all and just could not get through it.

A typical day would include a muffin or bar around 8:30 am. I would then drink my Energi-Zing shake around 10 am. I’ll typically take my lunch around 12:30, eating one of the pasta meals with a serving of veggies. I’ll have an afternoon snack around 3 pm which consisted of baby carrots or celery sticks. When I got home I had my dinner around 6-6:30 pm with my remaining servings of veggies (Salad with tomatoes). I typically had my Craving Crusher shake around 8pm. I’m usually up late working on the blog or catching up on my TV shows.

Today I begin the regular Nutrisystem program where I will incorporate Power Fuels and Smart Carbs. It’ll be different than Fast 5 since I’ll be eating more food. I had a Chocolate Chip chewy bar with yogurt for breakfast, the cheese tortellini for lunch, almonds for a morning snack and an apple for afternoon snack. I ate a Salisbury Steak with Mac n Cheese for dinner with steamed broccoli and carrots. Dessert was an ice cream sandwich! Everything was good. Pretty happy with today’s food.
