You’ve probably heard so much about steam mops but do they really work? I always like to do my research before purchasing expensive items. Is the product going to be worth the money? A few years ago I bought a steam mop on Black Friday. They had just been released on the market and they had them for a great price. The minute I got home, I opened up that baby! I was just too excited as I have these horrible light tiles in my living room area. I followed the directions but was so disappointed at the results. I had my husband test it as well just in case I did something wrong – but nope it didn’t work for him either. My grout lines were still dirty and even with some man power scrubbing the grout lines were still dirty. When I got the opportunity to test the Shark Steam & Spray Pro – I was skeptical. The only difference, I was amazed at how well it worked!
The Shark Steam & Spray Mop includes:

- 2 Sanifiber disposable pads
- 1 washable pad
- Water tank filling flask
There are three steam settings for all your cleaning needs. The different settings allow you to select the perfect amount of steam for every floor type and every cleaning task. The first setting is used with the SaniFiber dispoasble pads is recommended for quick, everyday clean ups on all surfaces. The Mop setting is basic, weekly mopping that removes spots and smaller messes. It cleans moderate and heaviliy-trafficked areas in hardwood, tile, or stone. The last setting Scrub removes tough, stuck-on messes and stains. It deep cleans heavily-trafficked areas and cuts through heavy dirt and grime in hardwood, tile, stone, and linoleum flooring.
I started using the Shark Steam & Spray on the Scrub setting which is tough on stains and dirt when using the energized with steam cleanser. I sprayed my kitchen floors with the Shark cleanser and began scrubbing with the mop. I could immediately see the dirty breaking up and lightening with every stroke. It took a few passes but my grout lines were looking great! Look at the comparison below:
Totally embarrassing to show my grout lines before but I assure you they are now perfectly cleaned thanks to my Shark Steam & Spray Mop. I am a total believer that the brand makes a difference when selecting a Steam Mop. My kitchen floors look so much better and now I can maintain their cleanliness with the steam mop. I love that I reuse the washable pad as many times as I want. When you are done cleaning just throw it in the washer!
The steam mop also provided 99.9% sanitization. Turning ordinary tap water into super-heated steam to eliminate 99.9% of germs and bacteria including e-coli, staph, and salmonella. Makes me feel so much better when I see my kids playing on the floor!
