disneyjunior1Pretend play has always been something I encourage for my kids. Buying them costumes and pretend toys have helped them gain an active imagination. Both of my children have been a Disney Junior fan from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to Sofia the First. Children’s television shows like Sofia the First have helped my daughter gain a creative imagination.

DJR_onDC_3D_Logo_white_strokeAs a little girl, I grew up watching the Disney channel and it brings such nostalgia to see my children enjoying television programs on Disney Junior. I know when my children are watching Disney Junior they are getting age appropriate programming. My daughter has fallen in love with Sofia the First and we’ve even celebrated her 2nd birthday with a Sofia the First theme.

disneyjunior3Sofia the First is absolutely adorable and I love that my daughter is learning a lesson in each episode. Whether it is sharing with friends or being there for others, Sofia the First always has a positive message to share. Best of all she loves tea parties! My daughter received a Sofia the First tea set for Christmas and loves having pretend parties with mommy or brother.

disneyjunior2We bought my daughter the Sofia the First costume for her birthday party. We knew it would be something she would love to role play with as she got older. She loves the Sofia the First boom box purse we got her for his birthday. She “knows” all the songs! Totally adorable to hear a little two year old singing, “I can be anything, I can see anything…”. Disney Junior has transformed her into a little dancer and singer. The boom box has a microphone so me and her are always singing along. I love that we bond together over her favorite Disney show.

disneyjunior4 My daughter had a ton of fun in her “Royal Tea Party”. We had cookies and drinks while listening to Sofia the First music. We read a Sofia book and enjoyed saying “cheers!” together. I love that I get to spend quality time with her as I know she will not be this little forever. She truly is my little princess.

  1. Hi Felicita!

I love your cute blog! I am currently creating my own blogging website and I’m in the middle of writing an article about Sofia the First, and was wondering if I could use the third picture from the top (the Disney Sofia picture with white background)? Also, where is the original source of that photo so I can credit both sources. Thanks so much!! 🙂 PS. Your party looks adorable!

    1. Hi Rochelle, thank you. I just did a Google search and found the picture. I used PicMonkey to combine both images. You can probably find it on the Disney Junior website also. I know they have images.
