The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fever is at an all time high. The tv series and movies coming out this week has made the beloved turtles popular. Gosh, I remember watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was a little girl. Funny how everything makes it way back! My son is obsessed with those turtles and is always asking for the latest gadget. He loves pretending to be a ninja turtle with his sword or nunchucks. When given the opportunity to try the Leonardo costume, I knew it would be a pleasant surprise for my son. The minute we received it he grabbed his sword and put it on. My son loved how realistic the costume looked. The material is soft with an easy pull on jump suit. The knee and elbow pads are tied with Velcro so it is adjustable. The turtle shell can be stuffed to make it love more 3D but we kept it light as it only has 2 Velcros on top and more weight will make it come off. The bottom of the costume covers and shoes and it is held by an elastic. Completing the outfit is the hard face mask, which will give you Leonardo’s snarling face, blue bandana and all.
I encourage my son to dress up in different costume whenever he wants as pretend play isn’t only for Halloween. If he wants to pretend to be a pilot, super hero, or a ninja turtle – I let him. Kids are little for so long and I want him to have an active imagination. Now he has a costume for Halloween that is both realistic and comfortable.
