Do you have that friend who always has her nose in a book? If you do, I have the perfect homemade gift idea – a book tote! The project is super easy to do thanks to the Cricut Maker and Infusible Ink (seriously, love this stuff!). I love giving and receiving personalized gifts – it makes me feel that the person really took the time to get to know me and devoted time to give a memorable gift. The book tote will be a gift for a special dear friend of mine that is always reading. A quick search of “book” in Cricut Design Space, gave me numerous options to pick from.

This particular project will be for a book tote but you can easily personalize it for a friend who enjoys bicycling, going to the beach, or just an everyday essentials bag. The tote bag is a great starter project for those that are new to Cricut Maker and Design Space. For this particular craft project – I used Cricut Infusible Ink but you can also use Iron-on vinyl. Both products will give fantastic results!

If using two different Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets, carefully place the first Infusible Ink Transfer sheet on the mat. It is important to select “Mirror” for everything you are cutting. The Infusible Ink Sheets work just like Iron-on Vinyl. Select the type of material you are cutting, in this case, it is “Infusible Ink Transfer sheets”.

Meanwhile, turn on the EasyPress and heat to 385 Degrees. Once heated, place a piece of cardstock inside the tote bag to prevent any ink from transferring.
