Cricut has done it again with an amazing new product for us to enjoy! The Cricut EasyPress Mini is perfect for all those iron-on projects that require a smaller EasyPress. The Mini is perfect for baby bibs, baseball hats, pockets, sleeves, and any other small scale projects you have in mind. I knew the EasyPress Mini would be perfect for a Baseball Mom Cap. Now that baseball season is in full swing around here – I knew a baseball cap was essential for supporting my little man.
Cricut EasyPress Mini offers the same benefits and technology as the Cricut EasyPress 2: even heat plate and easy-to-use heat settings for effortless heat transfers. Plus, if you are a sewer it is perfect for pressing seams!
The project is simple to make with just a few supplies needed.
Baseball Mom Cap using Cricut EasyPress Mini
Supplies:
- Cricut Maker (or Explore Air)
- Cricut EsyPress Mini
- Cricut Iron-on Vinyl (I used Rose Gold)
- Plain Baseball cap
- Weeding tools
- I used a combination of these files – #M6EA0691 and #MB3463BE
Directions:
Open Cricut Design Space and find the two files listed above. I replaced baseball with the baseball heart and also included my son’s Jersey number to put on the brim of the hat. It should look like the image below –
I attached the Baseball Mama and heart together so I can resize the image to fit the baseball cap. Once the image is to your liking send to Make. The program will sort by color – I am only using 1 color (the Rose Gold). Remember to select “Mirror” since we are using Iron-on Vinyl.
Select the material you are using – I used Cricut Iron-on Vinyl. I loaded the vinyl on to the mat and send to cut. Use your weeding tools to remove all the excess pieces.
Grab the Cricut EasyPress Mini and put it to the second heat setting. Position the iron-on vinyl on the center of the baseball cap. Carefully press the EasyPress Mini over the design. Be sure to not leave it too long as it will ruin the vinyl. Peel the clear backing once cool. Repeat the process for the jersey number.
Super easy, right? I cannot wait to make a few more baseball cap hats for different occasions! The Cricut EasyPress Mini makes it so easy to get to those tiny little details.
