Can you believe Christmas is 16 days away? Do you have all your gift ideas planned out? I always try to think of what the person likes, what they get excited about, and what they will really use. Fragrance sets usually end up being my go-to gift of choice when it comes to my little sister. The COTY fragrance gift sets are budget friendly and can be found right at your local CVS/Pharmacy stores! I knew the Katy Perry Mad Potion fragrance gift set would be exactly what my sister would love.
I enjoy wrapping gifts and getting creative with the ribbons, gift tags, and bows. I can be so therapeutic! I like thinking outside the box when I give wrapped gifts. This year everyone is getting a DIY Wood gift tag. It is so easy to make and it really is an “extra” little surprise that your gift receiver can re-use!
Supplies:
- Wood turning shapes (I bought stars)
- Chalkboard paint or spray paint
- Foam brush
- Drill with desired size drill bit
- Chalk
- Ribbon, string, twine
Instructions:
Using your drill, select your desired drill bit size to drill your hole. (I drilled the hole first before painting the chalkboard). Using your foam brush, brush the first coat of chalkboard paint on your wood piece. Be sure to paint your edges if you will be painting front and back. Once the top side is dried, flip over and paint the back. I repeated this step.
Once the wood pieces are dried, you can start adding your ribbon, string, or twine to tie the wood gift tag to your gift. Easy, right?
I think these gift tags would be great hung on the tree like an ornament! There are so many possibilities!
I wrapped my sisters fragrance gift set with ribbon and attached the wood gift tag with a natural fiber string I had. I addressed it in the front to her, since both sides were chalkboard you can write who it is from in the back. I know when she opens the gift she is going to be immediately drawn to the Katy Perry perfume bottle! I love the vibrant purple color! I picked Katy Perry’s Mad Potion because of its sweet vanilla scent. My sister loves perfumes that have a sweet floral scents. I know every time she wears it – it’ll remind her of the gift her big sister got her. That’s the thing about certain smells – they can take you back to a memory. Perfume does that to me a lot. Every time I wear a perfume my husband got me – it reminds me of the occasion.
You can never go wrong with gifting a COTY fragrance gift set this Holiday season, with so many variety of scents available – you’ll be sure to find the perfect one for anyone on your list! Stop be your local CVS/Pharmacy store to see all the different gift sets available.

This is such a cute idea and seems like it could be done in a limited amount of time. I love the versatility of this project. It would be fun to incorporate the kids in this too for ornaments and if they made a mistake it could be easily erased and corrected. So cute.
I absolutely LOVE this idea. I am big on reusing decorations and wrappings as much as possible so this is perfect for us. I typically use my boys’ paintings to wrap presents and these cute little chalkboard name tags would be the absolute perfect finishing touch. Love it!
Those gift tags are adorable! They make a great gift too and repurposing them as chalkboard ornaments is so fun. I could see these being hung on the side of a mason jar – like you would see on pinterest – for a layered dessert recipe.
Now that’s different and you can write what you want on the charts very nice! I think that I may just have a tiny craft bone in my body after all because i am trying these
I love how chalkboard looks on things. I had never thought of doing gift tags like this before. I love that this would also be perfect for recycling and reusing every year.
This is such a creative idea and one I never would have thought about! I love how chalkboard looks and I like the idea of using them as gift tags on gifts!
How clever, I love these gift tags. I could reuse them with the kiddos too. We love having reuse to projects.
This is seriously such a cute idea!! I love doing anything in chalkboard style! It’s always so much fun!! I think this would be fun for the kids too. I can see my son getting into this.
These are absolutely adorable and so perfect for the holidays. My boys would love personalizing these for others and adding them our family gifts. These look super easy and simple to make for just about anything!
Those tags are such a fantastic idea! I’ve seen a lot of DIY chalkboard projects lately but this is definitely creative! Thank you for sharing!
Love the idea of using the gift tag as an ornament too! [client]
These are SO cute and I love that they are relatively simple. I also think that it’s great these can be reused over and over again because they aren’t made out of paper and can be erased and readdressed every year! Super smart and probably saves some money in the long run!
