Creating homemade Mother’s Day cards for my friends and family is always a goal but I just never seem to find the time. But this year I said I would make cards for each of my mom friends no matter what! The universe listened and I did it. I did have super cute materials to work with though which was a huge inspiration. Did you see how adorable Stampin Up! Magical Day set is? Cuteness 100%! Post contains affiliate links. I think homemade crafts are appreciated a lot more. Taking the time to craft something special and unique for someone else is one of a kind.

Materials:

Instructions:

Step 1: The card base is 8.5 x 5.5 in size. Score down the middle.

Step 2: Using the blue glimmer paper and the Magical Mates Framelits Wave die pass through the Cuttlebug or Big Shot. You will need to repeat the process a few times to get across the paper or just cut your paper piece to size then past through the Cuttlebug or Big Shot. The first water wave piece is about .8 inches and the second is 1.5 inches.

Step 3: Glue/tape the bigger wave onto your card first. Then, using pop dots/3d stickers adhere the smaller wave on top of the bigger wave.

Step 4: Using the mermaid stamp, stamp on white cardstock. Using the mermaid die, align the die on top of the stamper mermaid image. Pass it through the Cuttlebug or Big Shot. Repeat the process twice. There are 2 mermaids. Using your Watercolor pencils, color your mermaids. Set aside.

Step 5: Cut a piece of cardstock (2.5 x 3.5-inch) to attach to the front of the card. Using a small piece of white cardstock (about 1 x 2.5 inches) stamp “Hope your day is” (cover the “Magical” part). Use the banner framelits die to cut out cardstock in your choice of pattern. Now you will use the “Magical” part of the “Hope your day is Magical” stamp to stamp on your banner carefully. Use adhesive to stick the white cardstock and pop dots to stick the banner.
