There are so many things to do in Florida from Disney Parks to sky diving – the attractions seem to be in abundance. It is definitely one of my favorite things about living in Florida. We’re just about 3 hours away from Orlando which makes for nice little weekend getaways. Back in the summer, I purchased the Legoland Awesomer season pass which gave us free admission to Coca Cola Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds, and SEA LIFE Orlando on I-Drive 360. We’ve been meaning to go and finally had a free weekend to explore the area.

SEA LIFE Orlando

My kids, 4 and 8 years old, love the ocean and undersea life. I knew they would enjoy SEA LIFE Orlando which was no surprise they asked if we can go there first. You are greeted immediately with colorful undersea displays. SEA LIFE is divided by different ocean systems. Kids can explore sea life from the Everglades, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and more. They are able to see sea creatures from that region – up close and personal! Kids can see sharks, jellyfish, seahorses, stingrays, and more as they move from one region to the next. SEA LIFE Orlando also has a small playground that allows kids to climb and slide or they can sit and color. There is an interactive Rockpool area where they can touch (two fingers only please! They were pretty strict with that rule) Sea Anemone, Starfish, or crab. We only saw the Sea Anemone and Starfish when we visited but the kids still thought it was pretty cool.

The kids loved the sea tunnel. They were amazed to see all the large sharks. My son loves sharks so he was fascinated with all the different sharks. We loved seeing the Stingrays! They have all sizes. The kids loved going in the see-through domes to get a 360 view of the different tanks.

The aquarium is not really big and we were done in about an hour to an hour and a half. The kids got to see everything. We read all the different facts and interactive areas. It was nice that we were able to do different things. I did notice they had a stamping station for each area but we were not given any materials to stamp our journey. I noticed the stamping areas after we had already entered. Next time, I will definitely ask about that! I think the kids would’ve loved to document their journey through the oceans.

Overall, it was a fun experience. We got to see so many different sea life animals. We saw they offered a behind the scenes tour which sounded really interesting – we’ll try it next time we go. We have unlimited access so we told the kids we’ll come back.

Stay tuned to our experience at Madam Tussauds and Coca Cola Orlando Eye!

  1. Such a cool place to see amazing sea life. I swear you could spend a month in Orlando and still not run out of things to do. Definitely my favorite city to visit.

  2. Oh we love aquariums and this one looks great – on of our favorites ever is the Georgia one. I love the bubbles where you can get up close to the turtle! Fun!

  3. I would love to meet all those sea creatures up close! Not sting rays. I have an irrational fear of sting rays after one bit me at our local zoo where we could ‘feed’ them. I WASN’T ON THE MENU!

  4. I have never heard of this aquarium. I’ll have to keep it on my list for when we visit next time. Sometimes the smaller places are much nicer since there are less crowds.

  5. This is one of the places that I’ve been wanting to take the kids to. We prioritized Disney because it’s Disney but this is definitely a great place and they’ll learn a lot about marine life once we visit this place.

  6. I’m actually heading to Orlando is a couple of days to go to Disney. It’s my niece and nephew’s first time there and I can’t wait. I wish we had time to visit Sea Life. Aquariums are one of my favorite spots to explore.

  7. What a fun day out! That picture of the kids in front of the turtle is adorable. I love places that are fun and secretly educational for kids. Thanks for sharing!

  8. Wow! It would be so fun checking out sea life! My kids have been fascinated with the sea ever since they watched Finding Nemo! They’re always asking to go to the ocean now!

  9. I never knew this existed! Thank you for sharing! my kids love the sea and all the creatures as well, we will have to make a trip down to check this out soon! We will have to make sure we get the materials for the stamps as well, what a nice take away!

  10. We have the largest aquarium in our backyard, so it’s hard to beat. But my sister lives in Orlando and loves taking the kids!

  11. I love visiting aquariums though the closest one to us is in Boston, I think. I love the interactive aspects that they have in Sea Life.

  12. My husband and I used to go to the aquarium when we were first married. Now that we have our daughter and she’s old enough, I can’t wait to take her to enjoy this!

  13. I used to live in Orlando and never made it to Sea Life but now having children I think we need to make a trip back. This place looks really cool. I love the underwater viewing bubbles. I love finding fun places like this!

  14. I’ve never been to Orlando and really want to go. Would love to visit here as I love aquariums. Looks fun!

  15. Omg I lived in Orlando forever and never heard of this place!!!! Next FL trip I will have to add a trip to SeaLife!

  16. This place looks awesome. My kids are really into sea life and so they would probably be amazed by this.
