SEA LIFE Orlando

There are so many things to do in Florida from Disney Parks to sky diving – the attractions seem to be in abundance. It is definitely one of my favorite things about living in Florida. We’re just about 3 hours away from Orlando which makes for nice little weekend getaways. Back in the summer, I purchased the Legoland Awesomer season pass which gave us free admission to Coca Cola Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds, and SEA LIFE Orlando on I-Drive 360. We’ve been meaning to go and finally had a free weekend to explore the area.

SEA LIFE Orlando

My kids, 4 and 8 years old, love the ocean and undersea life. I knew they would enjoy SEA LIFE Orlando which was no surprise they asked if we can go there first. You are greeted immediately with colorful undersea displays. SEA LIFE is divided by different ocean systems. Kids can explore sea life from the Everglades, Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and more. They are able to see sea creatures from that region – up close and personal! Kids can see sharks, jellyfish, seahorses, stingrays, and more as they move from one region to the next. SEA LIFE Orlando also has a small playground that allows kids to climb and slide or they can sit and color. There is an interactive Rockpool area where they can touch (two fingers only please! They were pretty strict with that rule) Sea Anemone, Starfish, or crab. We only saw the Sea Anemone and Starfish when we visited but the kids still thought it was pretty cool.

The kids loved the sea tunnel. They were amazed to see all the large sharks. My son loves sharks so he was fascinated with all the different sharks. We loved seeing the Stingrays! They have all sizes. The kids loved going in the see-through domes to get a 360 view of the different tanks.

The aquarium is not really big and we were done in about an hour to an hour and a half. The kids got to see everything. We read all the different facts and interactive areas. It was nice that we were able to do different things. I did notice they had a stamping station for each area but we were not given any materials to stamp our journey. I noticed the stamping areas after we had already entered. Next time, I will definitely ask about that! I think the kids would’ve loved to document their journey through the oceans.

Overall, it was a fun experience. We got to see so many different sea life animals. We saw they offered a behind the scenes tour which sounded really interesting – we’ll try it next time we go. We have unlimited access so we told the kids we’ll come back.

Stay tuned to our experience at Madam Tussauds and Coca Cola Orlando Eye!
