keurig1It is officially summer! BBQ’s and pool parties will be in full swing with families enjoying delicious meals and beverages together. What are your favorite beverages to enjoy during the summer? Iced tea, lemonades, or maybe even iced coffee? Keurig #BrewOverIce offers a variety of K-Cups for everyone’s needs this summer from Snapple iced teas to French Vanilla iced coffee. While shopping at Walmart I came across the Brew Over Ice Snapple Peach iced tea, I knew it would be the perfect refreshment for summer.

keurig2While at Walmart I picked up the Snapple Peach iced tea, Green Mountain Naturals Lemonade, and Donut Shop Sweet & Creamy Nutty Hazelnut Brew Over Ice. If you are a fan of Celestial Seasonings teas – they have Brew Over Ice K-cups! Half and Half Perfect Iced Tea, Southern Sweet Perfect Iced Tea, and Unsweetened Black perfect Iced tea. Brew Over Ice has so many varieties you will surely find the perfect K-Cup for your next gathering.

keurig3Iced tea has always been a refreshment that quickly calms me. I am a big fan of hot tea but look forward to a nice cold glass of delicious iced tea. The Keurig machine allows you to brew not just hot beverages but cold ones as well. Brew your favorite and newfound Brew Over Ice flavors on the 6oz (small) or the 8oz (medium) setting for the best brew taste. Wondering how you can make an iced beverage on your Keurig? Easy! Make sure to grab a plastic cup (do not use glass!) and fill it with ice cubes. Insert the Brew Over Ice K-Cup (must say “Brew Over Ice” on the box), add your plastic cup or tumbler with ice cubes under the dispenser. Wait for it to finish brewing and enjoy! Yes, it is that simple. I brewed it in my cute little plastic tumbler which kept it cold a long time.

keurig4My family and friends are big fans of Snapple so I wanted to create a drink that was both easy and refreshing to make. With 4th of July quickly approaching I want to give my guests an option to drink something other than the typical soda pops and water. I love iced tea and I love peaches thus my recipe is for Snapple Peach Iced Tea with Frozen Peach Chunks. I recommend preparing your peaches the day before the event. Peaches are in season right now so it should be very easy to find. I peeled and pitted the peaches then diced them up into little chunks. I placed them in my freezer overnight. The next day I brewed my Snapple Peach iced tea with ice cubes then added the frozen peach chunks. So easy yet so delicious! You can create your own summer beverages maybe using Green Mountain Naturals Lemonade with pieces of strawberries. There are so many possibilities available with the variety of K-Cup flavors.

keurig5The frozen peaches really gave the iced tea a fruity sweet taste. I tried to cut my pieces pretty small to allow it to fit through the straw. I loved getting little peach surprises as I sipped. The Snapple Peach iced tea with frozen peach chunks went well with my mango-peach salsa. They really complimented each other (recipe coming soon!). Salsa + iced tea = a wonderful summer pairing!

keurig6Keurig Brew Over Ice K-Cups came be found in the Coffee/tea aisle in Walmart stores. If you want to read about more recipes using Keurig Brew Over Ice use hastags #BrewOverIce and #BrewItUp or #CollectiveBias.
