How to Make DIY Hola Bonita Makeup Bag using Silhouette Cameo
Start by downloading the FREE Hola Bonita SVG file. Open Silhouette Studio then load the Hola Bonita SVG File. You can adjust the size to what you need. The bag I am using measures about 8.5 inches in width. This is the exact bag I use. Once it is sized to your liking – Mirror the image by clicking on the left button of your mouse then flip horizontally.
If you are using more than one color vinyl (like I am), separate by color. One of my favorite features of Silhouette Studio is the cut by color. It makes it so easy to cut exactly what you need. Select the material you are doing based on color. I had a combination of heat transfer vinyl – smooth and heat transfer vinyl – glitter. Send to cut.
The fun part – weeding! Once the design is weeded, arrange on your makeup bag. Use the Cricut EasyPress, iron, or mini iron to adhere the vinyl to the canvas makeup bag. I did find it was easier to use the mini-iron because canvas tends to be thick. I didn’t want to take the chance that the makeup bag would burn. The mini iron is really good at getting all the tiny details easily.
Once you iron the design, you are all set! Fill your adorable makeup bag with all your favorite goodies!
The DIY Hola Bonita makeup bag has easily become my favorite! I am always in a rush in the morning so this makeup bag holds all my favorite products for touching up on the go. I keep it in my car with mascara, lipstick, and some powder.
