Camping season is in full swing. Are you prepared? Camping as a family can be a great experience for everyone. You’ll be creating some life long memories. It it important to be prepared with everything you need to make camping fun and exciting. There a few things you should keep in your basket to have ready for camping.
Supplies:
- A basket or storage container
- Lantern (I have a battery operated and solar powered)
- Blanket
- Flashlight
- Bug spray

I like to keep these supplies together when I go camping with my family. We usually go 3-4 times a year, since we live in Florida – we go during the cooler months. We do have a family camping trip planned for the warmer months but on the beach! We’re super excited about that because we’ve never camped on the beach. How amazing to wake up on a gorgeous sandy beach!
We’ve learned a few things while camping and hopefully they will help you. I always like to be over prepared. We tend to bring extras of things just in case. We have 2 lanterns that we bring because we always use them at night for inside the tent and outside while we eat. We have multiple flashlights because it gets really, really dark at night. If someone has to walk to the bathroom – they’ll need their own flashlight. Every family member has their own flashlight. We bring a few blankets for chilly nights and for laying on the grass. We have a big one and smaller ones for keeping warm on those cold nights. Bug spray is a must. We love going on trails and the mosquitos are usually around when we get deep into the woods especially if there was rain. We usually go to campgrounds that have bathrooms but it is nice to have Extra® 35-stick pack to freshen our breathe throughout the day.
