My little princess is two years old! I know everyone says it but wow does time fly. I remember just the other day meeting her for the first time. She was such a good baby – hardly cried. She would always observe and look around at everyone. She has stolen our hearts and we couldn’t be more blessed to have her in our lives. We celebrated her 2nd birthday with a Sofia the First birthday party with family and friends. For the boys I had a Jake and the Neverland Pirate theme.
Sofia the First Birthday Party Ideas
I tried to do many of my own decorations by using my Silhouette Cameo. I ♥ my Silhouette Cameo. The possibilities are endless with that die-cutting machine. I was able to cut out Sofia the First for lollipop covers, tags, and even printable vinyl. I did the same for Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I also used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out vinyl to spell out Ciara’s name. My sister and I created the tissue pom poms to hang above the cake table. I love how simple they are to make yet add so much to the décor.
Since I had about 8 boys that I knew would be coming to the party I wanted to make it fun for them as well. Sofia the First is a Disney Junior show and Jake and the Neverland Pirates is also so I thought it would be perfect to have a “Pirates & Princesses” theme. I ordered this amazing 3D pirate ship that was perfect for holding cupcakes. I also had swords and eye patches for all the little pirates(I did place them in their goodie bags because I didn’t want any fighting).
The pirate ship was a hit with everyone! It is made of cardboard but sturdy cardboard and was really easy to put together. I ordered an assortment of pirate goodies and these skill & crossbones bouncing balls which worked perfect for a scavenger hunt. I had these little bouncing balls hidden in my plants, the fence, everywhere! They were small enough to fit in all the little secret hiding spots but easy enough to spot. They were able to find all 48 balls!
The party was a success and that makes me happy! I know my little princess had so much fun! She loves singing happy birthday and is just so loveable! All the hard work was worth it. My mom and my sister helped with the decorations and some of the desserts. So grateful for that!
Love this picture because I caught her as she was saying “Balloon”! She loved the Ciara the First balloon I bought. I hired a face painter/balloon artist to entertain the kids. I was an overall great birthday!
Happy Birthday, Princess Ciara!
